Johnny Just Come...

So I clicked the 'New Post' tab to put my very first article here together but I honestly didn't know where this was going...
I simply kept following my brain as it directed my fingers.
Ok, so now I have opened my blog, finally! I know a couple of people that will be quite pleased that I have decided to tow this line, having given in to their nudges.

I remember the first time a friend suggested the idea of owning a blog.



 It was in 2012 to be precise, we were chatting on BBM, I said something and she went, 'Bukky, you should actually start a blog'.
I chuckled, the idea sounded ridiculous. 'Me? Blog? What will I be writing? Hehehehe' I replied.

And that was the same reply I gave many more who suggested it afterwards. I thought there were enough people with enough blogs that cover virtually all topics already, so why elongate the list?

Also, because I like to read, and I appreciate the beauty of tactical and judicious use of the English language which I have enjoyed from different authors overtime, I therefore felt it will be unfair to subject 'innocent' citizens/readers to my austere writing style. I thought I should hone my writing skills (which I didn't even know existed until some kind brodas and sistas pointed it out) before embarking on this journey.

So do I think I have honed these skills? NOPE. So why did I open a blog? 
Can I be honest here? Simply because I was encouraged to do so, and also because I hope that this will be an avenue to inspire someone, make someone laugh, encourage them to soar, as I share my musings with you all. Therefore, I decided to go the 'NIKE' way...Just do it.

And there goes my first post.

From Whirlwind to Warmth; New Country, New Birthing Experience & more!

  “It’s not really my thing.” This was my response to my husband, who, for the second time that week, was nudging me to consider joining the league of lifestyle vloggers/bloggers. “You can do it now,” he encouraged me. But I have since learned that having the ability to do something doesn’t always translate to the desire to actually execute it. I said it wasn’t my thing because that path requires being comfortable with a tell-it-all approach to personal storytelling. I’m not exactly a private person, but at the same time, I tend to worry that starting something like “Keeping Up with Buki” vlogging or blogging would leave people saying: Cue track 1—Title: “Who Asked?” Artist: Nobody ft. It’s None of Our Business. Lol. However, I’m making an exception here. I don’t know why, but I just feel like sharing what life has been like over the last 12 to 14 months to commemorate my second son’s birthday.
