I'm back!---eerm, maybe not

*Picks up a brush* *Mutters under breath- Away with you, cobwebs and dust!

A fitting task to mark the end of a 5-year hiatus. Yup! My last entry on this blog was published on October 12, 2019.

I was shocked myself.

To be honest, I knew I had been away for a long time—I just didn’t realize exactly how long.
A lot has happened since my last post. A whole lot, as you can imagine. I even planned a blog post in my head, but it just never made it out alive.

That post was supposed to be about marriage, the struggle with infertility, and the testimony of how God came through for us.
Oh well, that’s now as belated as it gets because not only has God made me a mum, He has made me a mum of two amazing boys.

I’ll save that story for another day when I can tie it to a greater purpose beyond merely recounting an experience—all in the fullness of time.

Here are a few personal life events that have happened since I last posted here:

  • I started a YouTube channel to discuss kingdom-related matters. (Sigh. That’s also on pause now.)
  • I became a mum to one boy.
  • I moved to a new country.
  • I became a mum again, this time to another boy.

I’m not going to make empty promises like, “I’m back now, and I promise to be more consistent.”
Nope! I’m just here… for now.

Okay, the real reason I decided to dust the cobwebs off this blog is because my second son turns 1 in five days! It’s been quite an experience, and I wanted to share it.

I occasionally come out of hiding to drop an epistle (lol) on my WhatsApp status. But I thought, instead of using a platform where the status will disappear after 24 hours, why not use one that allows me to share broadly and more permanently, if I can put it that way?

I’m also trying to keep memories and journals for my children. I have Google Drive folders dedicated to storing their photos and videos as they grow up. This time, I’ll also have this digital birth story journal to show Oluwamurewa when he’s old enough.

All this in the hope that Google Cloud exists forever. Lol.

So, in my next post, I’ll talk about my birth story and share random gist about nurturing a child from infancy to toddlerhood.

I hope you’ll be reading.
